Register to participate in the NBGC 2nd Annual 5K Fun Run!
When you become a champion, you're registering to participate in the Fun Run! You'll create a fundraising page to share with friends and family to donate to your efforts. The funds you raise will help to provide safe, supportive, and accessible programming to Chicago youth.
About NBGC's 5K Virtual Fun Run
Our motto at NBGC is that "everyone plays." That means that we believe in accessible and affordable programming that promotes active lifestyles, sportsmanship, and friendly competition.
NBGC is bringing back our Virtual 5K Fun Run for a second year. Participating is an active and fun way for supporters to rally donations for NBGC! We at NBGC know that our community is our biggest asset. We are excited to introduce more people to NBGC and showcase our mission to provide safe and supportive programming for Chicago's youth.
To participate, simply create a "Champion" page and share it with your friends, asking for supporters to donate to the cause! Once you've rallied supporters, join us virtually as we run (or walk) for NBGC! The event will take place virtually on Saturday, August 28th, with participants running or walking in their own communities. We hope you'll join us!

To sign up, simply press "become a champion." When you do, you will create a page to fundraise for the NBGC. Share your page link with friends, family, neighbors, and strangers to raise funds for the NBGC! Then, on Saturday, August 28th, walk or run in your own community and document it by posting a picture or video to social media, tagging @NeighborhoodBoysandGirlsClub, and adding the hashtag #NBGC5KFunRun
The Details
To receive a 2021 NBGC Fun Run t-shirt, teams must raise $150/individual by August 28th (i.e. a team of four must raise $600 to each receive a t-shirt). Participants are required to fill out a waiver prior to running on August 28th. Please send the completed form to Development and Communications Manager, Cristin Anthony, at [email protected].
